Marc’s management skills, which include both negotiating and navigating the various approaches to visual effects during the production challenges of principal photography, are astounding.
During the on-location main unit filming of “Jonah”, we had several “chefs in the kitchen”. Marc successfully navigated the conflicting and spontaneous creative approaches to the scripted scenes, pushed by the stakeholders, as well as the crew dynamic. These types of challenges were most certainly overcome by Marc’s solution-based on-set VFX management style. I was certainly very pleased to have Marc join the project, and all of us were better off for his being there.

I cannot recommend Marc Lougee highly enough.
We were shooting a prime-time stop-motion series for the CBC, which I was producing, and Brad Peyton was writing and directing. Neither of us had done a stop-motion animation series before, and we had decided to build our own studio. Marc and producer Susan Ma stepped in and saved our asses. Marc came on board as the animation director but soon began directing episodes, producing and making huge contributions to the scripts.
Marc is that rare combination of a true artist with organizational skills to manage projects as well.

I had the good fortune of collaborating with Marc for five seasons of CW’s “The Flash” at Encore VFX.
