Ray Bradbury: Do What You Love

(from Maria Popover/ Brainpickings.com)

Mr. Ray Bradbury is forever gone from us but alas, his work shall be forever cherished.

Aside from his wonderful collection of writings, Ray Bradbury was a man known for terrific insights.  I got alot of inspiration from his tales, starting as a writer. Ray’s stories propelled me forward as a creative person; I found inspiration in knowing if Ray found a way to get things done  in the basement of UCLA (on a rented typewriter), I too could be creative despite a lack of resources at the start. I am, as are so many others, forever in his debt.

In 2008, the National Endowment of the Arts had a chat with Mr. Bradbury, which I’ve dropped  in for your perusal below. Of particular note is his passionate call to “love what you do, do what you love”. Have a look, and please pass along. I hope the trip to Mars is all Ray imagined it might be. Safe travels, Sir.
