About Me

I’m an award-winning director and creative producer specializing in creative development and direction for animated series, commercials and film with an emphasis on mixing CG animation and live action hybrid techniques to tell engaging stories.

Thankfully, I still love my job after 20+ years of memorable experiences working on television series, commercials and film productions. I get to meet/ work with a bunch of great people who like to create great entertainment while converging strong storytelling,  creativity and modern digital animation techniques to create outstanding productions.

I’m an enthusiastic believer in creative collaboration, innovation and open communication. In my book, success is defined by achieving clearly articulated artistic and financial objectives efficiently, as I strive to foster a creatively charged environment. Working with both clients and crew proves energizing, motivating, challenging and often times, a lot of fun for me. Awesome usually ensues.

My exploits in animated mayhem began with ABC Saturday Morning ID’s (‘Cowboy & Horse’ & ‘Red Hydrant & Yellow Dog’) in the early 80′s. Many merry animated adventures followed as I joined Broadcast Arts/ NYC for the Bud Bowl II Superbowl campaign, MTV for 52 ep’s of claymation chaos on ‘Celebrity Deathmatch’, HBO for ‘Culture Shock’, the BBC with ‘Ace Lightning’, the CBC for ‘What It’s Like Being Alone’, and the BBC/ DiscoveryKids! for the Emmy nominated series, ‘Dinosapien’.

Whew! Where did the time go?

Aside from directing awe-inspiring projects, I wield my formidable skills as a Visual Effects Director/ 2nd Unit Director on live action/ CGI series and commercials. I’m keen to give to the community at large, and share my know-how with young filmmakers thru Animation Workshops, Foundational Filmmaking classes and Visual Effects 101 workshops for indie film folks.

I maintain my US Citizenship and Permanent Resident/ Landed Immigrant status in Canada. I also maintain a burgeoning fan base in Lichtenstein.
