“We all need a home. We all need a family. But for some of us, this home is a little harder to find. For some of us, being a touch odd presents its challenges.”
- Narrator, The Gurney Orphanage For Beginners.

A dark and fiendishly humourous series about a dysfunctional family of freak orphans desperately trying to get adopted. What it’s like Being Alone combines social issues, pop culture references and humour with a high-concept visual style and broadly accessible stories. The show uses stop-motion animated figurines, miniatures, low-fi camera techniques and computer-generated animation to create a progressive, engrossing, cinematic, dark, silly, melancholy, humorous and retro world of bizarre adventures. – Telefilm

I had the wild opportunity of joining Brad & Fred for two seasons, first as Animation Director for the series, second as Creative Producer and Episodic Director. What a trip it was; crazy fun. I’d do it again in a minute.

Created by Brad Peyton, Executive Producers Fred Fuchs & Brad Peyton.

Ray’s Big Day was commissioned by Tom Atkins, founder of the Visual Effects Society in Hollywood, CA. to commemorate Mr. Ray Harryhausen’s 80th birthday. Ray’s Big Day screened alongside numerous ‘video birthday card’ presentations provided by Director James Cameron, Phil Tippet Studios, Industrial Light & Magic, Sony Image President Ken Ralston, SPFX Makeup Icon Rick Baker, Stan Winston Studios, Director John Landis and Director/ Producer Steven Spielberg. Truly an honor to be part of this historic event.

Fiasco Factory is a multi-platform property currently in active development, so stay tuned for more in 2012 (hopefully, we’ll release something prior to the apocalypse). I’ll keep you posted.
