Marc Lougee  is an award-winning director and creative producer with over 20 years experience in television series, commercials and film production.

Marc’s exploits into animated mayhem began with ABC Saturday Morning ID’s (‘Cowboy & Horse’ & ‘Red Hydrant & Yellow Dog’), which in turn presented opportunities to work on several (now ‘classic’) MTV ID’s. Marc soon found his way into the hallowed halls of Broadcast Arts, home of Pee Wee’s Playhouse and Budweiser’s Bud Bowl II Superbowl campaign. Many a merry animated adventure ensued as Marc plied his skills in making the inanimate, animated on numerous national-brand commercial campaigns and music videos. Long -format work beckoned, and Marc answered the call. Joining forces with MTV/ New York, Marc signed on to direct of claymation chaos on ‘Celebrity Deathmatch’ (52x 22 min. episodes). Several more series followed, including HBO’s Culture Shock (pilot), the BBC’s ‘Ace Lightning’, CBC’s ‘What It’s Like Being Alone’, and the Emmy nominated BBC/ Discovery live action/ CGI show, ‘Dinosapien’. Aside from directing series animation projects, Marc continued working as a special effects supervisor  on several music videos, MOW’s and commercial campaigns, internationally.

As a director, Marc fervently believes in collaboration, respectful communication, honoring the vision of each project, and defining success through the achievement of clearly articulated artistic and financial objectives. To that end,  he strives to create a creatively charged environment in which everyone on the production teams are inspired to contribute, creating stories that engage audiences with memorable characters, images and ideas.

Not one for sleeping, Marc continues to develop projects that bridge television, film, comics and web through his company, Hand Made Heroes Film & Television in Toronto, Canada.

Though living and working in the production metropolis of Toronto, (Canada), I maintain my US Citizenship, allowing me to work (unhindered with legal mish-mash) in the United States. Fantastic!
